I would think so. I use the cheap Chinese flashlights on mine and they hold up just fine. And under $10. Also not sure i would go for the red laser. As far as i am concerned they are pretty much worthless in anything except darkness. Here again i use the chinese lasers in green highly visible at 25 yards in bright sunlight. And have held up on everything i put them on. From pistol ,shotgun to high powered rifle. Would probably work a lot farther but can't see the dot past 25 yards ( bad eyes ) . If these cheap things hold up i see no reason a quality light shouldn't.

Are you mounting it forward near the end of the barrel? I have them mounted on my duty weapons, but the recoil isn't as stout as the 12 ga. On the shotgun, they've been successful with the light attached to the fore end, like streamlight or surefire.

As long as it can be mounted to the fore end, I can't foresee any problems, except for the screw mount maybe coming loose. Loctite? Would you be using a remote switch or just turn it on and point? Correction, I did have one problem, the clip and back battery cover broke off and had to order replacements. It broke off while using a new kydex holster and unholstering and re-holstering what seemed like 500 hundred times, muscle memory.

Yes just on / off by the switch I like the way it works on my G21 I like to keep things the same way if I can just didn't know if it would hold up to the recoil or not

Streamlight makes a forend for 870 with a light built into it.

    Lucky Dawg,

In the future, if you're looking for a tubular weapon light, Streamlight also makes the HL-X 1000.

It's a 1000Lumen weapon light that runs off CR123 batteries.

I've also got a TLR-1 and love it, but don;t have a holster to keep it n my G23.

    Cheers,
    Chris
