    Help needed

I hope someone can help me on this,

I have a S&W model 686 and when I close the cylinder it hangs up on the forward part of the frame. Holding it back slightly it closes ok. I removed the little screw that holds the crane and cylinder in place It has a pointed tip that is receeding into the barrel of the screw which allows the crane and cylinder to move forward a little bit. The screw is so small and sharply tapered I can't get a hold on it. A schematic shows a tiny spring inside the barrel of the screw which I assume is there to keep the tip from receeding.

    Any ideas?

    .

Sorry, but the only idea I have would be for you to contact S&W's Service Department - a rep there may help you out.

Make sure the ejector rod is screwed in tight. You need a tool and be sure and put cases in the cyinlder before trying to tighten it.

Is this a new firearm or a used one?
