    Good day today.

This 4th I decided to do some casting and reloading. I had some 405 gr Lee rnfp cast already, so I loaded them up in I'm 450 Marlin.
I then cast a bunch more. After much deliberation, I think the 450 is going to get the nod for my bull elk hunt this fall.
I bought this gun in 2000 for that purpose and never got to use it until this year. It wears a 3x12 scope.
I can't wait until I get achance to go see how they shoot.
They slipped into unsized cases easier than I had hoped. They mic out at .459. I think I would be better off at .460-461, but a new mold isn't a possibility right now.
If the don't shoot well, I will have to go back to j-words. I have a pretty good 350 gr load worked up. I do have some 400 gr, but they need to be downloaded. They kill at one end and maim at the other.
Happy Independence Day y'all! Click image for larger version.

You could always powder coat with clear and get that extra .002.
