At one time I had almost 30 of these frames with carious barrels.

They are not as bad as guys make them out to be. Yea they benefit from some tinkering but at there cost the savings for what they did for ya effortlessly out weighed the issues.

Handis pop open as well as other problems when the latch shelf was lubricated or when SUPERPREFORMANCE ammo was used.

Miss-fires are common because the main springs are weak and when a hammer
Extension is added they cant overcome the added weight. A simple swap to a Wolfe extra power spring fixed that.

A ten minute read of Handis 101 over at greybeards (GBO) can provide answers to any and all questions and problems.

I have a Handi Rifle in 243 and have had no issues. Shoots about 1 1/2 MOA.

cwlongshot. -- Got a product description? SKU# or the like? I've got a few that could benefit from a tune-up.

There are two styles of main springs for handis/H&R/NEF GUNS.

SO ITS GONNA DEPEND ON WHAT YOU HAVE.

    Newer Single coil; https://www.midwayusa.com/product/10...h-and-r-topper

    Older dbl style; https://www.brownells.com/shotgun-pa...prod16500.aspx
