    Scope Recommendations

Building a bull barrel 10/22; Green Mountain barrel, Brownells receiver, JWH bolt, etc., and I'm looking for scope recommendations. One is the Meuller 4x14 APV but I have no experience with one. Thoughts on that or others?
    Thanks

I just put on a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 4x12 and like it a lot. Maybe 200 rounds through my Remington Precision (I like that one also) so far with no issue. Was easy enough to site in at about 100 yards.

same as above, put one on .22 mag, great scope for the money.

I have a Simmons 6.5 x 20 x 50 mm ($125) scope with mil dot reticle from MidwayUSA that has given me excellent service for the last 20 years. For a Ruger 10/22 there are more expensive scopes, but not a better scope. I have disappointed more than one shooter at the range with my 'junk' Simmons. That big flat matte monster is clear, bright, and intimidating -- oh! did I mention cheap! The scope probably can't take the recoil of 300 Win mag, but its lived for 20 years on the Ruger bull barrel killing prairie dogs and paper targets for more than 15,000 rounds of 22 LR.

I have an older 2X7 Leupold Vari X 1 that I sent back to Leupold to re-set paralax for a 22 rimfire and mounted on my CZ 452 American and it shoots lights out. If you can get an older Leupold they will do this for only shipping cost.

Both, but probably more paper for the time being.

Just got a Henry 24" octagon barrel 22 LR, put an older Nikon Monarch 4-12x40 on it. Parallax goes down to 10 yards, I expect to use it for practice, mostly 50 yards and in, but will occasionally go to 200 yards. I have a few Nikon Monarch's, very sharp and clear. They have been very reliable with precise adjustments.
