Avoid the Landfill Sale <<ALL SOLD>>

My friend Norm passed away a few years ago and left roughly 2000lbs of alloy stored in another friend's garage. That friend wants it gone in the next 30 days.

The alloy is either a hard lead/lino mix or its all lino. It's located in Zeeland, MI and it needs to be sold in lots of 200lbs or more. $1 per pound, cash only, and only for local pickup. It will not be delivered or mailed. Since the alloy recipe died with Norm I ask anyone who buys some to inform the rest of us about the mix and hardness. Most of it is in ingots, the rest was dropped as shot for shotgun reloading. See the pic for an idea. I may be able to get more pics if needed.

Please PM me for contact info.

    Thanks, Dinny

Shipping lead is easier said than done. Especially when it's in large ingots.

    Thanks, Dinny

If desperation sets in over there, I might make that drive for $0.50/lb.

I see a pair of blocks that are probably pure Pb, the really dark pieces that look to be 6 inches on a side or more. Either ballast for shipbuilding or radiation shielding material at a guess. There may be useful info cast into the spine of those pigs (with the earwig ends on them).

Good to see that it will be put to use, not just dumped.
