Not a casting for shotgun thread, but I figger this is the place most shotgunners that reload visit. I am brand new to shotshell reloading, still amassing components and while I have a few pistol powders that are also used for shotshells I have a question about BR-5. I have been using it as a "replacement" for Unique in some handgun loads, and I see a lot of Unique loads in my manual. While I'm certainly going to stick to my manual's load data, does anyone think BR-5 would work, safely and effectively in shotshell loads? My lot of BR-5 is slightly slower than my present lot of Unique and from an old reloader's thinking, it may be a viable substitute for Unique...
