WTB receiver sight for Marlin 336CB in .30-30

I just picked up a Marlin 336CB in .30-30 and am looking for an inexpensive but decent quality receiver sight for it. I will eventually go with an MVA tang sight like my 336CB in .38-55 but the purchase of the .30-30 has left me cash strapped for now.

I could also use a set of dies if anyone has an extra set. (Found, thanks Zinger)

Just call MVA and get a new base for your 30-30 and swap the staff between rifles until you can afford a new staff. I did that for years until I could get a dedicated staff for the new rifle.

Baja, thats a great idea and I will do that but I still want a side mount receiver sight too. My gunsmith is backed up for over a month so I can mount the side mount sight to the rifle and get to shooting until my gunsmith can fit me in for a drill and tap job on the tang.

There's a Lyman 66LA for the 336 on that auction site right now. In box w/ papers and screws, current bid $12.50 ($6 shipping) and ends Wednesday. Worth trying for an excellent sight. Inexpensive receiver sights are getting hard to find, apparently Williams has ended the 5D for the Marlin.

I thought it was discontinued because on the Williams, Brownells, Midway and Buffalo websites it is listed as out of stock (and no backorder on the retail sites), leading me to think it probably was discontinued. Maybe about to be, or Williams is waiting a while to make another run to restock.
