Old school shotgun supplier

I would like to put a plug in for a company I've been buying from for a long time, and I forgot how much I like them. Bucks Run Sports. They can't get a website together, buy by phone only, and they have more than you would imagine. For some reason I just like how old school they are. It's been the same guy for over the 10 years I've been buying from them, I think the guy's name is Kip.

They are probably the single best source for shotgun hulls that I know of. Just ask, they have more there than they even know. Just yesterday I was asking about 2 3/4" plastic base buckshot hulls. He didn't think they had anything. A quick look found that they had thousands. If anyone is looking for some, they are selling them cheap.

I have bought from them... they are just about the only supplier of stuff from reloading specialities. Their steel wads (SAM 1) are pretty cool, and can be ordered through Bucks Run.. I do wish they had a website though...

Any search engine should find them. Google works no problem. They do have a website, but they might as well not have a website. You'll see. They have a catalog, but I never asked for one. I asked for what I needed, and they had it, every time.

I have a catalog, and also have a shotshell reloading manual sold by them from reloading specialities... they have several Hi-velocity steel loads using the SAM 1 wads and steel powder. Some of the steel loads go over 1700 FPS... I am going to be trying them out this year.i have all the pieces now...

I even tried some steel shot loads that went over 1800 fps. Go ahead and try them, but I think you will quickly find that the pattern is not at all acceptable from any combination at those velocities.

One helpful hint you don't always see. Use a spacer of some kind in the bottom of the shot cup. I normally used 20 gauge felt spacers in whatever combo I needed. If you don't, you will loose about 15 pellets in in the bottom of the wad, as they embed into it during firing.
