Can anyone give me advice on how to reduce the pressure needed to fire an old flintlock? It is a lot harder to pull than others similar to it. It’s really hard!
I know some guns end up with soft springs, but mine is harder to cock than anyone else’s. Could too much spring pressure be causing the trigger pull problem? All parts have been cleaned and polished and lubed with a light oil.
It’s a French 1777 .69cal from 1815.
Thanks
