    .41 checkmaker help

Can somebody tell me the strip width needed to feed Pat Marlins .41 checkmaker? I must be overlooking that somewhere.

And if you happen to have downloaded or know of a working link to this help page, it'd be great also!

That one won't open for me.

    Thanks and happy casting!!

He probably took it down. PM Pat and ask him to send you a copy via email.

I emailed Thursday. No joy yet. Probably busy. If anybody has a copy, and maybe that strip width, thanks in advance.

I forgot I have one in .45 and went to look to see if I had a hard copy of the instructions I could scan and send. No luck! On my 45 the max width I can use is 0.57 inches. My cutter ram is 0.563. The other option would be to measure the cutter side of ram and add a 0.004's and start there by cutting a plastic trial strip milk bottle to see if it just fits. Then you will be good to go. You want the strip to be wide enough to cover the width of the cutter ram die but not sloppy in the feed slot. If you make them too wide they are hard to feed after you cut the first blank.

Sorry I did not remember this sooner.

I'll try that Minerat, thanks. I got a brand new checkmaker and want to try it out.

And if anybody has the manufacturer-recommended strip size or a copy of that pdf, it'd still be welcome.

I cut my strips to 9/16" for the 41PB maker. If you are running the standard Checkmaker, I have no idea.
