    Accurate 35-155P

Yesterday I was going to melt some lead and breaking in a new mold. I found my RCBS handles didn't fit the Accurate mold pins. Today I went to Hartford - Titan Reloading. A very pleasant young lady helped me with my purchase of Lee 90005 handles. Tomorrow I'll play with a little metallurgy. Has anyone else have problems installing RCBS handles to Accurate molds?

Wierd... Haven't order from Accurate for while but all my Accurate molds fits RCBS handles without problem. Looks like that pin / bolt is wider than before.. I've used RCBS handles with NOE's,MP's, Accurate's, Arsenal's and of course RCBS's molds. Like those RCBS handles very much.

Nothing an appropriate number drill won't fix. Local hardware purchase.
To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, the trouble with many shooting experts is not that they're ignorant; its just that they know so much that isn't so.

If the Accurate mold is multi cavity - use the Lee 6x mold handles

Some recently made RCBS handles have smaller holes than usual.

Also, RCBS handles have become very inconsistent about hole placement. Sometimes the hole is large enough, but offset from the inside so far that the handle binds against the block.

Both problems easily solved with a bit of drill or file work.

    Thats what I do too..

Are you opposed to just opening up the holes??

I do this often with some handles. One I even had to weld closed and re drill. I bought three handles two lyman and one RCBS off Ebay for a song because they where all Cobbled up. About 30 mins each with welder grinder and drill press and I have completely serviceable handles.

Its just metal, responds well to elbow grease.

All my RCBS molds fit the RCBS handle without alterations. Any Accurate molds I may get in the future now have handles that fit. Next, melt lead.

Melted some lead. Alloy was (1)HB/(1)Pb, water dropped. As cast = 0.359", sized = 0.357", 2 coats - BLL. Next, burn up some Blue Dot.
