They look like some type of primer, I don't know...
They were in a box that of reloading stuff I purchased at a yard sale...
I've never seen them before...
Thanks...BCB

My bet is Berdan primers. Maybe mic the diameter as I think they would be slightly bigger than regular large rifle.
I will venture a guess. Caps for a cap and ball, percussion gun. Either rifle or revolver.
They are too long to be Berdan primers, and caps for cap and ball are usually
serrated.
I think they might be primers for pinfire cartridges.
Need a better pic...

Since they have rims on them, I am thinking charges for a nail gun or starting pistol of some sort.
They're shotgun primers from before they came as a complete unit with anvil and sleeve.
Can't tell from the pic...but they look like 22 CBs. Better pics and measurements would help.
without the ball projectile...of course.

I've never seen that type of packaging before. Any idea who produced these with that packaging?

Enlarging the pic and getting a better (?) view, they appear to be blank cartridges. Powder/case sealed with red wax or shellac. All the nail gun ammo I can remember had a "star" crimp. If we had some measurements and pic of profile and headstamp, identification would be easier...

They are 0.15” tall and 0.18” diameter…
They are PLASTIC it seems…
They were in with all the reloading stuff I bought, but I now wonder if they are anything to do with reloading?
I wonder if the make some type of a kid’s cap gun that might use them?
I didn’t throw one in a fire to see if they even will pop…
UPDATE: I put 2 of them on some hot charcoal that we just used and they go "poof" with a real small flash. No loud bang or big flash.
Oh well…
Thanks…BCB
