    What lube smokes the best?

I honestly like dirty unique because it smokes a good bit. What is a good smokeless lube that SMOKES? I’ve coated my bullets several times with liquid alox if anyone is planning to suggest that.

I don't know about "best", but 50/50 smokes pretty good from my .45.

I like unique for its versatility. The mess i could do without. What caliber are you shooting a lot of handgun cartridges can be loaded with black powder if you like smoke but will need serious cleaning.

I already load for black powder and even black powder sub. But I still like smokeless that smokes a lot out of my revolvers.

Alox is a lube ingredient that is known to create smoke, possibly more than any other ingredient.
    More alox = more smoke.
Have you tried applying LLA using RanchDog's "dip" method?
It's a bit entailed, a quick search should yield a pictorial thread.

My 2¢ is that using a NRA 50-50 lube on a boolit with a large lube groove, is a lot easier way to a lot of Alox per boolit.

Yup Alox! Stinks and smokes, works well in 50/50 though.

I've tried all of the White Label Lubes, except for NRA 50/50 (far too crumbly to bother with). By far the most smoke is from BAC. I also enjoy smoke and smell. Why stop at smokeless only lubes? Try some SPG.

Vaseline and paraffin mixed. Thought I was shooting black powder. (I hated this!)

PS- if you use any of the scented vaselines by mistake, they smoke and smell.....

Paraffin and vaseline is a very simple and unexotic lube recipe. What are you experiences with it, how did it perform?

I've had pretty good luck with melted down crayons thinned with axle grease and a bump of motor oil.

Another option is if you have a little pedigree dog.
They have glands under the base of their tail that needs to be periodically squeezed or 'expressed'.
That stuff is pretty slimy and smells just awful. It might smoke a lot too.

Yup, I've done this and it was scented like flowers........And it smoked. Still have some of it and it works just fine. I dropped a red crayon in the liquid when I was melting it and it's pink.
