    Wilson spring kit

I just treated my 70's vintage Single Six and my 2019 Blackhawk to Wilson spring kits. The .22 went from 4.5# to 1.75# and the .41 went from 4.75# to 2.25#. No stoning, just springs and oil. Sweet.
So I gave them nail polish to complete their salon day.

All my ruger revolvers get the same treatment, except I get mine from Wolff gunsprings. Did three single actions today myself. I think you can save a little with Wolff.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!

Have used both , IMHO , one is as good as the other , I let cost be the deciding factor .

save your money and just pop the spring off its tab on one side of your gun. People have been doing it since the first ruger sa's rolled off the assembly line. Ive probably done it to 50 through the years and every one of them worked just fine.

That helps for sure and sometimes it's enough but the spring kit makes it even better. Unhooking a leg was all I ever did back in the day. I did it on every Ruger SA I got even before I fired them.

Been called a "poor man's trigger job". But I always figured I'd spring for it (pardon the pun) and get a regular spring kit. Might be a very small chance of the dangler tying up the action but I did not wish to chance it.

don't know how many thousand rounds ive done shot with a leg off but its been many. In ruger single actions from 22 and 32 to 44s and 45s. (big guns like the linebaughs had proper trigger jobs that still had full power hammer springs) Had a few light hits on hard primers but learned to use federals with sa's with trigger jobs just like I do with smith DA guns.

I've put the Wolfe spring kits in a couple, real nice trigger after.
