I have sixteen of the 6 cavity Lee molds, love 'em. Only wish they made the 429-214SWC in a six cavity. I'll be buying one if they ever make it.

I must give credit.

I have a older LEE six cav mold. Its seen use its spure plate is a bit worn. Its handles are cracking. The side is worn in from the side handle lever mechanism. But it casts beautiful boolits and I cast ALLOT from this mold!!!
After breaking a side handle very quickly on one six cav I have been very careful with all
Others. Starting with three cavs then the other three then top four then bottom four etc until its warmed and the spures cut easier.

This is one mold LEE made right and I appreciate it!

I just broke it all down and cleaned, oiled, epoxied its handles & wrapped it in a oil cloth. Its ready for service again!

ive broke them but about anything breaks. My experience with them is you can buy 10 of them and 8 will cast great one will be a bit obstinate and one will be a ***.

I just got a 158 RNFP 6 hole from Midway on 7-2, My B day. I have to work on it. The boolits stick on the spures plat side.

Put me down as another huge fan of the LEE six cavity molds, and of LEE Precision. I have the six cavity molds for 9, 45, and the 7mm “soupcan” rifle bullets. I just started this last weekend to use the 7mm rifle mold. Just like the 9 and 45 molds, it’s a pleasure to use. LEE has sent me many replacement parts for free over the years, including replacing several molds which in all probability I damaged. They’re a great company. I wish Richard Lee was still around.

Have been using Lee Six Cavity molds for over 10 years.
Use two in series to speed up production. Works great.
I only use Lee molds, have never had any problems.
Also use Lee bottom pour 20 pound melters. Still using 2 that turned 2000 pounds of range scrap lead into 1 pound ingots. Nothing bad to say about LEE! Saved one heck of a lot of money over buying other brands.

The Lee 6 cavity molds are true bargains....but they are not great. I got two or three for when the SHTF but now that I have a Master Caster I doubt I will ever use them. Nice to have if I ever need to cast bullets over a rocket stove.

Like you, I put off trying the 6 cavity Lee. But once I did, I’m definitely a huge fan. Lots of quality bullets fast. I’ll definitely buy more.

I like my Lee 6 cavities too. High value, good grade of aluminum.

Would not trade my 6 ganger for anything. Lee has a winner.

Try out an aluminum MP 8 cavity. That will empty the pot in record time. This one is a 358-130-rf.

The sprue cutter screw eventually breaks or wears out the threads in the aluminum block. Just have to made up a larger screw and tap out the aluminum block. PB Blaster spray graphite works to keep the boolits falling out of the blocks.
