    Two Hard Working Presses

These two presses have had a long life but they have a lot more work to do.

Nice Herter's set up, so dear to my heart.
Glad to see them still working after 40 plus years of service.

    Roger that.

As an old guy I find an amusing similarity in today's "reloading expert's" disparaging comments about today's Lee tools as they had about Herter's tools in the 60s; i.e. "Cheap junk barely good enough for unknowing new guys and it won't last them for very long." Why? Well, you see both Lee and Herter's sold presses, dies, etc., at about half the cost of other brands and that's just not fair! Truth is, the tools of both have given long service and excellent performance when used properly.

ALL reloaders have long enjoyed better prices from all makers specifically BECAUSE of Herter's and Lee's competition; that's cool no matter what brand we prefer!

Great point! I never thought of it that way. Perhaps if Lee was not around in today’s RL market, Lyman, RCBS, Hornady, Dillon, Redding, etc. just might cost us a lot more.
