    New Hades pellets tests

I shoot a lot of airguns, all types, all cals. including with slugs and my own cast pellets, but today I am writing about tests of the Hades pellet from prolly the best pellet maker, JSB. The gun used is a very accurate springer a HW97 in .22 cal. the only Hades pellet cal. to date. My best pellet to date is the H&N FTT at 14.66 grains, groups with the Hades did not equal the H&Ns but were close. The H&N pellets were a much tighter fit in the chamber and I believe that is the diff. as the hades were 5.50" and the H&N were 5.52". On ground squirrels the Hades did mushroom a small amount but did not fracture as they were designed to do, not enough velocity I believe. My next test down the road will be the Hades pellets in a higher vel. PCP at around 900 fps. Vel. from the spring powered HW97 was an avg. 690 fps. So if you have a PCP in .22 and want a frangible pellet for hunting, these new pellets may be your best bet.

I’m on my third tin and the Hades are the best hunting pellet I’ve used to date.

Are they available in .20 cal; have an HW97 that needs a good hunting pellet.
