Stiff neck sizing/expanding with the 310 tool...

A quick word to the wise......when sizing with the 310 tool, always remember that the leverage you enjoy with your bench press isn't there. If sizing in the 310 is difficult, don't blame the tool. Try annealing the case necks/shoulders first.

I had a small batch of 6.5 Swedish brass that was giving me fits until I annealed the whole bunch. The force required for sizing went from intolerable to normal immediately.

    Another case for annealing cases.

A good case lube is also a good idea, just don't overdo it. Regardless, as 3006guns so eloquently stated, "...the leverage you enjoy with your bench press isn't there." And of course never, ever, ever try to FL size or size and neck expand using the same (TL Jr) die with a tong tool. The results won't be pretty!

I like to use powdered graphite myself as the 310 dies neck size brass.

    +1 on the graphite.
Started off doing that reloading 35 years ago.
I’m still using the same 35mm film canister and lead shot in it.
Althou originally it had some foam with a hole in it.
Put the cap on and shake once every few years to mix in the powder again.

No wiping or cleaning off needed.

I thought case lube was to use when you needed to reform cases into something else.
