    Smokeless Round after BP

I often shot BP in my .45-70 Marlin. Recently I’ve started firing a round of smokeless at the end of shooting. It seems to make it a lot easier to clean afterwards. Anything wrong with doing that?

I'd think you could possibly/probably have a pressure spike from pushing all the BP crud down & out the barrel
    with a hotter smokeless load.

It's a very common practice and as a matter of fact we just did the same thing yesterday. A friend had some left over black powder 12 gauge ammo from when we were shooting Cowboy Action matches together. We shot some of them yesterday through my Russian SxS hammer double and finished up the day with several smokeless Trap loads to get the worse of the crud out of the barrels before cleaning. Made a fairly big difference in the amount of work that was required to clean the barrels afterwards ...
I may have passed my "Best Before" date, but I haven't reached my "Expiry" date!

Shoot a smokeless copper jacket reload after shooting BP lead reloads requires that the bore needs to be cleaned good to remove the copper foul in the bore. Lead smokeless = normal cleaning
