I would like to buy one NLG plain base, 6 cav, brass
I would like to know if you can send me to Argentina
Thank you
Sorry, maybe my question is a newbie question
Why most choose the mold of 8 aluminum cavities ?,
I have not had a good experience with the molds of two aluminum cavities of Lee.
I understand that the sprue plate with cam should be more comfortable, I only have a brass mold and I liked it a lot.
I would like to hear your opinions, why do you choose the mold of 8 cavities?
I think it is simply to make more bullets in a shorter time. I have this specific 8 cavity aluminum mold and I also have some 6 cavity brass molds from MP. You will see that I have now also ordered one in brass. Why? I like the brass molds better. The sweet spot when the mold is running perfectly is just "bigger"? for me with brass.
Also the durability of the brass is better that aluminum, you have to take very good care of your aluminum molds, since the metal is very soft.
The only "down side"for me with the 6 cavity brass mold, is that it is pretty heavy, and you have to first before you start, get a good patina on the brass mold to prevent tinning - there is a lot of good advice here on how to achieve that.
So I think it comes down to personal preference, both MP's brass and aluminum molds are first class, I just like brass better. Hope I have answered your question?
