Cooking BBQ? Don't Overlook The Pineapple!!

GF says how about you fire up the grill, and I will bring some chicken legs and I says hey that will work!

The chicken has african blue basil, and some kind of rub I had, then topped with Sweet Baby Ray's, but the real treat is an overly sweet and juicy, almost beyond it's prime pineapple, just salt it, toss it on a hot grill, and sauce it along with everything else!

Grilled Bananas are really good too:

    Grilled Bananas

    Ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons rum
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 4 medium firm unpeeled bananas
    • Vanilla ice cream

    Directions
    • In a small bowl, combine the rum, honey and cinnamon; set aside. Cut bananas in half lengthwise, leaving the peel on.
    • Place bananas cut side down on grill. Cover and grill over medium heat for 3 minutes. Turn and brush with honey mixture. Cover and grill 5-6 minutes longer or until tender. Peel bananas. Serve immediately with ice cream.

It's sweet, sticky, smoky, spicy, Southern BBQ. Nothing even close to pulled pork and vinegar.. With coleslaw, on a bun, with Texas Pete..

Yep, around these parts if one where to say, "come on over for a BBQ", your getting smoked pulled pork. Come on over, we're gonna grill out, and you can put anything you please over the charcoals, and yes, many fruits and veggies are great on a grill! One of my favourite is a big ole Vidalia onion, cored with butter in the middle and some seasoning, simmer squash is good as well!

BBQ, chili or cornbread can get you in a fight down south quicker than being a Yankee.
