    Anyone seen one of these?

I saw this for sale on Ebay. The seller's not sure what it's for. He says the threaded portion will thread into a Lyman 310 or Tru-line JR.
It looks to be some sort of primer tool. Other than that I can't even guess who made it or for what it was used for.

    Lachmiller bullet puller.
Please show the top and bottom of the die.
Does the top separate from the bottom of the die?

That is for a Pacific PAKIT portable cartridge reloader. One end seats the primer and the other seats the bullet. I have one in .308 caliber, but have never used it yet. Sorry, I'm not bright enough to post pictures, maybe someday...............

This thread makes me want to buy one, just because I dont have one. How rare are they and what calibers were sold/distributed?

I can't show other pics. This was up for sale on Ebay.
Just never saw anything like it before. Thought I'd ask.
    Now I know. Thanks.

They used to advertise heavily in the 60's through late 70's.

I have a couple of those. There are a bit more cumbersome to use than a 310, which I guess is why they stopped making them. If you watch the auction sites a lot, you will see 1 or 2 a year float by. I have .308 and 7.65 Belgium Mauser. They also made a powder can with a measure that screws on for charging. I would like one in 30-06.

The instruction sheet that came with my tool says it is made in 89 !!! different calibers, and my guess is that some were never made, or made to order.

The 4th edition of Handloader's Digest has a small write up of this tool, and it is dated 1968. It also shows a neat little hand press kit called the W. H. English Pak-Tool. I have a partial one of these somewhere, maybe someone has a complete one they can post a photo of it.

Pak-Tool is another of the 1960's great tools. It is a slightly updated version of the Newton tool from the 1920's.

It came in a round plastic tube for easy carry and packing. There is also a pasteboard box version. The link shows a complete tool, note all the little parts to get lost. I have three of them and not enough parts to make a complete tool. That's how easily the pieces disappear.

I have a Pak-Tool also, the box version. I think I have 3 die sets, 30-40,243, 270, Of course, I could do 30-06 as well and probably others. You are correct Pressman, a lot of small parts to get lost.
