    Home built shooting bench

Yep! Finally finished it off today! Very nerve wracking using that skid steer. The forks have a stabilizer bar in the way, and we had to block the top up, pull the skid steer out, then wiggle the table to where it all looked even on the edges, then remove the blocks one at a time. We made the last run of cement soupy so you can move the top around into its final adjustment. Before gravel comes, we'll put the cherry on top and build a roof over it. Is it level? Hell yes it is!!

That looks very sturdy, good job, I’ve filled the block holes before, it takes a lot more concrete than you think. Makes some thing that a tank can’t tear up.

Nice job, we built 12 of those at our local range, turned into a big job, but they will last 2 lifetimes!! Having a good steady rest to shoot off of, makes a huge difference. I have a fold up table, made by taking the legs off a broken folding school lunch table, and making 2 L shaped pieces from 3/4" marine plywood, using liquid nails and drywall screws to laminate them, and then putting on the folding legs. This is a heavy portable bench, and with sandbags it is extremely stable. I use this when shooting at home with my 150 yd range out of my carport, or over in my neighbors field, where he and I usually shoot out to 500yds. Good job on the bench!

Wow. I did not walk into this thread expecting something of that girth. That thing is a monster of a bench!

Ya need to move it six inches to the right. Looks great. I wasn't expecting to see something so solid. Nice job.

Well if I was going to find any fault with it, it’d be that it’s on your property rather than mine.

    Heck of a nice bench!

Being left handed, I like that it is ambidextrous. Very similar to what my club has but even more sturdy.

Those look like concrete blocks? Not cinder blocks. Correct?

cinder blocks. They weight around 8 - 10lbs each.

Just in case anyone is wondering, yes, theres a ton of rebar in this whole set up. 80 feet worth!

Super happy with the turn out on this shooting bench!
