    9mm largo brass

I think I might be having a head space problem with my 9mm Largo Destroyer.
Anyone know what I can use as a longer case?????
    38 Super. 9x23 are shorter.

How about 9 mm Winchester magnum you may have to trim it some.

Just did a little investigation 30 mauser brass blown out and trimmed might be even better only slightly longer than 9mm Largo. So what seems to be the problem with the carbine a bit of info might help to solve the problem.

I agree with Doc, more info would be helpful, but the 7.62 Tok would be a closer match to the length you need to trim to than the Mauser. you may even find some berdan Toks on the range for evaluation use. I have used a .223 case to make a test round for a jury rig "no go gauge" , trim and expand to 9mm and then trim carefully until you get the bolt to close. the extractor tension is iffy even on a good Destroyer, but you should be able to determine the needed case length. Might even be able to use the 223 case to get usable brass for loading, cheap but a pain to ream. hope this is helpful...

I have three Destroyers and they all have different bolt face diameters(+-.020) and degrees of loose headspace. I just seated the bullets out to touch the lands and called it good.

The 9mm Win mag looks like it would work.
I'm almost sure I don't have any, but I'll have to check.
    Thanks.

GONRA sez - as suggested above, trim 9mm Winchester magnum brass to suit. End up with perfect case dimensions! HEAD DIAMETER must be correct in these case jobs.
