Got a box of stuff yesterday

    Went to the range yesterday.
Guys told me they have a box of stuff for me.
Didn't look at it there. Got to look today.
Left overs after the range guy had their pick.
Some dies, jacket bullets, cast boolets, shells, black powder measure with the funnel, ammo boxes, some loaded ammo,
    RCBS APS strips with primers.
There was also 1/2 of a mold. Looks like 30 cal, 115gr pointed Lyman.
To bad only half of the mold. It's in good condition.
So what do I do with only half of a mold??????

Can't help with half a mold see them on ebay a lot. Always wondered how you would come to only have half. You might look maybe they have the other half.

Maybe the next box will have the other half.

Reminds me of a crazy guy that came to church, he put a socket in the offering plate. I was hoping next time he'd leave a ratchet, but he ain't been back.

Do you ever wonder why you see only one shoe along side the road? The guy that lost his shoe must have cast boolits.

Saw some of the other stuff that came out of the box, before it was givien to me.
Two Lee hand primes, some primers, other small stuff. No casting tools.
I also got a forearm for something.
    Anyone know what it fits???

That looks like a saeco mould half.

How big a barrel channel is in that forearm? At first glance, I figured it was for a break open single barrel shotgun, but now it looks like it was something someone made for a target rifle of some sort. Looks nice.

I found two mismatched halves at a store. Proprietor said he threw a half in the dumpster. I went dumpster diving while a friend stood guard. I found it and a bunch of other cool stuff! It matched one half. WooHoo!!!

Mould 1/2 a bullet at a time and glue the halves together?

Cut the mold in half and make a single cavity one.

Channel is just about 15/16" wide.
Screw hold, with a brass bushing.

The 1/2 mold will make a nice paper weight.
I does kind of look like a Saeco.

I wonder if a skilled machinist could make that work?

As a friend of mine did with an old rusty ruined mold haves. Make down rigger weights for fishing by tying them in a harness to your lines.Robert
