    Pretty in Pink

My best 00 buck load. New cheddite 3" hull and primer. 29 gr 800x. clone Federal S3 wad firm over powder. Buffer in bottom of shotcup to cover. 5 stacks of 2 Hard Lead 00. more buffer shaken down until even with top stack. 1 thin fiber patch to hold buffer. Fold crimp.

What makes it work: HARD lead shot. Picked this up from Roger Dat on s&s. Excellent shot! He may have more. Stack of 2 allow least tumble and friction out of a full choked barrel. Moderate speed, about 1350 fps.

This pattern at 40 yds is what makes it pretty...7 pellets in a 10" circle with much energy. Load is 518 gr lead, 1 1/4 oz. with buffer. Recipe from BPI cheddite manual for 1 1/4 shot with wad change. Printed load of 30 gr. 800x a little sticky.

Finally got to try this load on pigs. Killed 5 in 6 shots out to 40 yds out of 870 w/ full choke. Had to shoot one twice. More bad news for hogs or anything else! Click image for larger version.

I bet that all dressed out, one of those would fit right on my grill.
