    Sort of a Boolit....

    Some years back I went hunting deer with a friend of mine in Tobago. The rifles were all chambered for 32 Long rimfire and could be made to fire another 32 CF case (S&W?). The question is - I was also given a handful of shot cartridges for fowl if encountered. They were capped with a wooden plug much like the shotshells of yore.
    Has anyone used a wooden plug making shotshells in lieu of an overshot card and crimp?
    p.s. I did not feel undergunned, the deer were roughly 30 pounds.
