I have a Numrich 28” 45-70 Buffalo Barrel on my roller #5. Does anyone know the rate of twist in these. I’ve searched the net and forums high and low and can’t find anything.

The one I had was a very heavy octagon contour and was 1-18 twist.
mine is a heavy barrel tooand 1-18
Well I’d guess this one qualifies as heavy. It’s at least 1” across the flat from breach to muzzle.

Ditto the one I owned, Numrich heavy with a 18" twist.
Warning: I know Judo. If you force me to prove it I'll shoot you.
Well that’s three votes for an 18” twist. Looks like I’m goin with it.

Mine also had very little throat.
You can measure it easy enough to be sure. Carefully insert a cleaning rod from the muzzle and install a brush and wrap a patch around it. pull into barrel so its well engaged in the rifling. At this point a single wrap of tape even with the muzzle leaving a tail at 12:00 aligned with front sight. Pull rod out until tail makes 1 revolution and measure distance from muzzle to wrap of tapes edge. this will tell you pretty close what twist it is. 1 turn in ???
Why don't you measure the twist rate ?
Midway and Creedmoor Sports both have nice you tube video's showing how...it's easy and you will know for sure what the rate of twist is...no guessing .
