303 Brit no gas check hi tek coated

I've been working on getting a good load figured out for my 303 Enfield. I've been using 2400 and testing charge weights from 16 gr. all the way up to 21 gr. At the top end I'm seeing velocity at around 1850fps, and right now I'm using a clone of the Lyman 314299 from Accurate with a gas check. I'm getting tired of playing around with the gas checks, however, and I was wondering if anybody had any advice on if at velocities up to 2000 fps if a plain based boolit design would be just fine, accuracy wise.

I too am looking for a coating for my .303 boolits. I have been using IMR 4064 for the J-words , 150 gr. Very good accuracy, but I want to use cast. I have a Lyman 31141 mold, but coating them should bump up the diameter to acceptable dia. for the .303. I have some Hi Tek I am going to try. Others jump in please. We need info....

I've pushed PC PB pretty fast in BO, working on a 170 gr PB in 30/30. I do use a pretty hard alloy. PC will add 0.002 or so to dia. IIRC 1900 for 185 gr GCd.
