Unhappy Onondaga (Gary) has passed away

I just read this on the CBA Forum: https://castbulletassoc.org/forum/th...ndaga-passing/ Gary was a member here with quite an encyclopedic knowledge of casting, cast bullets, etc. May he rest in peace!

    Oh, sorry to here that.
IIRC he was also into casting precious metals also, or maybe he had job experience in that? But when his posts would veer into that experience, he provided a insight that few others could offer.

    RIP Gary

He made dental appliances, that's how he knew about casting precious metals.

RIP Gary. I used his procedure with a bore snake and turtle wax bumper cleaner and polish to really clean up tarnished bores on some of my milsurps that still had good rifling. 100 pulls through the bore is alot of work but that bore is shiny and smooth except the little bit of slight pitting you could see after polishing. Stopped my slight leading problem. He will be missed.

Always sad to hear of the passing of another (good guy). Didn't know or converse with him, but his handle makes me wonder where he was from. Onondaga is Iroquois for "people of the hills". Wonder if he was a central New Yorker? (Onondaga County)

725, Judging from what he posted about a range he used to frequent (not far the the north Univ. of Buffalo campus), I think it was in the Buffalo, N.Y. area. However, I searched the obituaries in one of the Buffalo newspapers a week before and a week after his passing on April 20 and could find nothing.

He lived in N. Tonawanda. It was listed on his log in his avatar. He was probably shooting at Tonawanda Sportsman's Club.
