I have been wanting a bench in the garage. Finally just did it. Illinois white oak and lots of 3" screws.

Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.
Now you got to cover it with reloading stuff .... or other tools.
Good Judgment comes from Experience, Experience comes from Bad Judgment !
Looks good, now it’s time to accessorize
OH NO!! Not a horizontal surface! You should've asked me before building that I would've told ya it's just gonna collect all sorts of stuff! It starts small with a few odd nuts and bolts then progress to tools, camping equipment and drill presses and lathes and such. Before you know it you'll build another bench so you have something to work on and then you know your done for! Sorry I didn't warn you sooner.
It's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years (Abe Lincoln)
"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.” George Washington
Nice! Of course it is good to have pictures so you can prove it is "sometimes" cleared off.
Hot lead or hot lead filled mold on white oak. That will smell really nice. At least smell way better than what the nasty OSB top I turned to charcoal in one spot with 10 lbs. of hot lead in a bread loaf pan. Might as well just get it over with. Go spill some paint on it, drip some hot scorching lead on it, or maybe my personal favorite. Screw the work to the bench by using a tad too long of screw.
Looks like you have your work and some fun ahead.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.
Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.

Looks good, but next month you will ask yourself why didn't I make it twice this long!

Built a lot of stuff out of rough cut oak, picnic tables, shooting benches, chairs, cribs, barn floors. Hard to drive nails in though , when battery drills and dry wall screws hit the farm it was on.
Looks good.
I could justify buying 3 more power tools for a project like that.

Dewalt impact drill driver had no problem with 3 inch deck screws in oak.
