    Lodi Creedmoor Results

    1st Jim Kluskens
    2nd Mark Schuenke
    3rd Steve Farringer
The report is that yesterday started with rain on and off and today the weather started breaking and the scores definitely improved . Very twitchy conditions which is usual for Lodi especially after a front goes through.

Good shooting guys. I think it's really neat that Steve placed so well in that Cup match, when you take into consideration he had never shot target rifle until he rolled into the Ben Avery this past February and shot those long range matches.
Long range rules, the rest drool.

Notwithstanding frustrating conditions, Jim Kluskens also
won the Sat/Sunday BPTR State Championship.
I was honored to shoot with him

    It's all spotter.
The only amendment the Democrats support is the 5th.

Not all is. The American Creedmoor cup was no spotter or coach, you were on your own.
The spotter is part of the team and with the best spotter the shooter can get the lowest score if the shooter can't get his head in gear and if the loads he is shooting hit everything but paper.
Yes the spotter gets very little credit at times.

You guys did a fine job sorting out the winds.

I had a tough time and I came to the realization that it's time to take the tang sight off the long range rifle and put a scope on it as much as I hate to go this route. I been fighting it for several years but it's time.
The final Wis. St. match on the last day I took off the tang sight and put the scope on it. At first I thought it was a mistake because I had no sight settings and the ground was wet so no dust and it took quite a few shots during the sighter time and I had to finally go for score and missed the first 4 shots before I found paper at the 1000, but as time wentI finally figured out how not to over adjust the idiot knobs and by the end of the 800 I was getting it.
I just can't even read the number boards and had to count targets not to cross fire and when clouds passed over the target disappeared. So I guess that scope has to be it if I want to keep shooting.

I'd have to say that my spotters for the Championship match did their very best for me and I am grateful for their effort. The spotters don't usually get the credit they deserve, but everyone knows who the good spotters are. I've been at matches where the spotter of the match winner was recognized for his effort and that was good to see.

My sincere thanks to both Arnie Seitz and Jeff Heeler for spotting so well for me in some really tough conditions.

Of course I could not have done it if I wasn't shooting paper patch bullets, they are quite superior!

    Cool

Congratulations to Jim Kluskens and all the top shooters at the Creedmoor Cup and Wisconsin State shoot. The Creedmoor was my first ever BPCR match, I had the good fortune of being one of the shooters on Jim Kluskens squad at the Creedmoor. It was a real education shooting, scoring and pulling targets with those men. A special Thank You to all in attendance at both shoots for helping me get started in BPCR and making me feel welcome.
