Do you have one that you measured? also thanks for your reply I had heard 1in 8.6 or close to that so 1 in 9 sounds good if you do shoot a 7x57 what have you found to be your best bullet weight?

Mouser = a cat that is adept at catching mice.

Mauser = a German firearms manufacturer.

I checked the twist rate , on a barrel I recently took off of a small ring mauser .
It seemed most of the replacement barrels came in a standard 1 in 8.5 , so that sounds right .
I am trying to get a light cast Boolit to shoot 2 inches or less at a 100 yards , and it's still a work in progress , but honestly I am making it harder on my self with my choice of components .

I put a Green Mountain barrel on mine and it made a huge difference. The old barrel was about like the proverbial sewer pipe. I don't know what the twist is, but it will now do moa. Haven't tried cast in it, though.

That's what I did also a midway green mountain special . It was my first adventure in changing a rifle barrel , but I figured it couldn't be worse so why not .
It's addictive be very careful .
