If it was easy, anybody could do it.
Lube is cheap enough that I probably would not try to use it. I would be more likely to save it for flux. But, if you want to use it, I don't see any problem doing so.
I messed around with mixing my own lube for a while and although I had some success I have given it up. I can purchase lube from Lars at White Label Lube at bargain prices and the lubes are always exceptional. I still have a batch of the home made stuff in a can and I think I will toss it.

As a raw rookie on this forum, my experience is that any lube / wax product that melts without burning is a good lube. Add a couple of ounces of Dexron 3 automatic transmission fluid to the melted lube, stir well, and cool in an old cake pan will make a very good lube. Crayons add color. I'm still using my last batch of mystery lube that works great on 38 spl wadcutters to 44 mag silhouette loads with no leading. The ATF made all the difference.

I use a Gear Grease called Marfak and Beeswax, it did well

Pretty sure for GONRA's "slam bang reloadiing" most any Boolit Lube will verk Just Fine. (Range Pickup Lead Cast Boolits.)
Mix it and try it in a variety of your loads. If it works well...then use it up. If it doesn't work well...no harm no foul (could be fouling though..hehe). Don't waste it.
my 2 cents.
