    380 load data

Anyone used 124gr 9mm bullets in their 380 and have a load that works?

Here is one from the old handloads.com

    125gr LTC 3.3 gr A A-5 800 fps 0.94" Win SP guest
This is an experimental load for using available bullets

I've used the SAECO 9mm 122 grain flat nose design in at least two .380s, a Makarov and a PPK/S. My old notes indicate 231 provided best accuracy as it did with all bullet weights in my .380 guns. The Lyman Pistol & Revolver book has some data for a Lyman 120 grain RN design.

I use Accurate 35-120H with 2.5 grains of Bullseye in Ruger LCP, Beretta M1934 and SIG P230.

That is kinda heavy so be careful of seating depth.

Here's a pic from my RCBS cast bullet manual #1.

Ah, much better. Now you can read the data. This manuals first printing was December 1986.
It is I think the only manual that RCBS ever printed for their cast bullet lineup at the time

Here is another image of that page so there is no confusion as to if this load data is for the 9mm. This cast mould boolits are used in both the 380 and in the 9mm.

I plan on loading up some of the 115gr cast after I PC them in HF red. It makes them just so nasty looking. :-O

I've noticed that all the data in this book is a bit hotter than current data. I use boolit identification with current data.

Same data. Image was just take with the lens further from the page in the manual. Start and max amounts are the same in both images.
