What proportion of linotype to add to softer material ?

I have a five pound commercial ingot embossed NATIONAL 25 which scratches easily and which I assume is pure lead.
I have 6.75 pounds of smelted stick-on wheel weights.

What proportion of linotype would it be necessary to add to the above to produce an alloy "more-or-less" the equivalent of clip-on wheel weights? The final alloy will be used for medium and high velocity handgun bullets, probably with gas checks.

I am thinking a three to one ratio; e.g., four pounds.

Given the trifling quantity of 'soft' material I want to use up, I don't want to buy antimony, tin, etc. for a one-time project. Thanks in advance for any comments.

Use Bumpo's alloy calculator, that's how I figure all my alloys. Works for me, some day I'll get to actually get to test them ? hc18flyer

Your mix of 3:1 would get you pretty close to CWW (12 bhn) vs 11.7 for the lino/SWW

using this calculator as hc18flyer suggested.

Lino commonly has a composition of 84-12-4 Pb-Sb-Sn, whereas COWW is commonly considered to be 96-3-1, with maybe a fraction of a percent of arsenic. So a 3:1 ratio of pure to Lino would get you pretty close, minus the As.

I air cool the 3-1 mix (Rotometals ingots) and get @ 14 BHN, after one week. Measured on a LBT tester.
