    Seating below neck/shoulder junction

Is seating a boolit with its base below the neck/shoulder junction a detriment to accuracy?

It certainly can be. However, like many things in this game it is not cut and dried. I've found it depends on the pressure of the load and how much exposure the part of the bullet below the case neck gets to the pressure/hot gas. Any gas gutting of the bullet or riveting prior to entering the throat can be detrimental to accuracy.

Not to mention the loss of lube if exposed below the neck.
