    Bacon nectar from the gods

For years I have heard that baking bacon is the best way to fix it. (it is)
Well, we bought a convection toaster oven and its wonderful. (the bacon)
It's a good thing it's legal because we are addicted.

Growing up we ate salt bacon...seasoned everything, gravy, beans, bread, potatoes, greens. If Granny cooked, she used salt bacon.

Guess I could bake that too.
Most of the tanks are gone and the windows don't rattle anymore. I won't be able to sleep now.

Baking bacon is one of the restaurants best kept secrets . No flipping, no messing with it, just perfect crispy bacon.

Wanna make it better? Sprinkle your favorite dry rub on it prior to baking, or even just brown sugar - candy of the gods...

Try cooking bacon in one of the new Air fryers. You might just change your mind about baking.

I don't care how you cook it count me in. There is nothing like a BLT when the fresh tomatoes come in. My mouth is watering just thinking bout them.

There is no problem so great, that it cannot be solved by the proper application of high explosives.

Too bad broccoli doesn’t taste like bacon! We’d all be healthy!

375F is what I set the oven temp to.
One thing about oven-cooked bacon: it splatters all over everything. The wife won’t be happy when you send her in there to clean the oven.

Bacon-wrapped broccoli would not be an issue for me.

I set the temp lower because the bacon is cold when it goes in the oven. Cooks for about 20-25 minutes.
No need to pre-heat, pan it and put it in there when you turn the oven on.

Another post on here talked about making Canadian Bacon. Said pork loins were cheap now. So I got the Mortons Tender Quick and a loin and went to work jerry rigging a smoker from a Stainless Steel resturant plate holder, a diy meat hook on a chain, a propane turkey stove, a grandma's killer fruitcake tin w/lid and some small green hickory limbs chopped to fit. After three days in the frig. soaking in the cure, fired up the smoker about three hours and finished it in the oven bringing it up to 160 degrees from about 140 in the smoker. Then bought two more pork loins and did one today and found it to be to much sodium . Third one is planned with homemade recipe found on line and cut the sodium way down.. Number two loin can be used as grandma did in previous post
