It's pretty cool that Keystone would design a dream rifle for kids to drool over.
I remember when I was young and drooling over the Erma M-1 carbine .22 clone that was sold through some of the mail order catalogs at the time.
When I got older I ended buying a nice one and it was a dream fulfilled.
But like a lot of toys I ended up trading it in for something else.
It shot really well and was fun while it lasted.

Although back then I think that I was even more interested in having a Sting-Ray style bike with a banana seat, high rise handlebars and a slick rear tire.
Back then every kid needed to have some wheels!

So, if I read it correctly, it is basically a disguised Cricket single shot. I can see where it might appeal to some kids, especially those with milsurp collecting and shooting dads, but if I had one I'd want it to be a repeater with a miniaturized action that was more faithful to the design being copied. An example would be the Stg 44s currently being imported. There's probably a market slot for it though.

Being into 22 rifles I'll be taking a close look at it. Would make a nice addition.

I have a Polish WZ48, which is a .22lr single shot Mosin Nagant trainer built on the mauser pattern. Its actually a pretty accurate little .22 and the graduated military sight is correct for the yardage its marked.

It's apparently based on the crickett action - but it's a full size 22 rifle with a normal length of pull and a 20" barrel. Based on the comments I have seen here on RFC about Keystone rifles - I would expect it to be pretty good.
