I recently had a visit from my 27 year old son who I hadn’t seen for over two years. It was a great visit. He stayed for over two weeks and helped out on the farm, with some of the work that is better suited to a younger man than me.
Anyway, Saturday afternoon I said, OK that’s enough. Let’s take a break, drink some beer and melt some lead.( for ingots) I’m still using a skillet and my range scrap takes a bit of time to melt. All the better, more time to do the « male bonding thing ».
Then all of a sudden, oh ****! We’re out of propane and neither of us wanted to get get behind the wheel to go to the hardware store to get more. What to do? Well let’s plug in the electric pot and make some boolits. We made over 500 230 grain, 30 cal. Black-outs. And then enjoyed a good meal my wife had prepared.
It all made me very happy and thankful.
