    Ideal 311291, help please.

I just picked up a couple of molds at a good price.

One was a single cavity Ideal 311291. But, it does not have the pin. Is this supposed to be a hollow point mold??

Anyway it looks like it has a pin like a hollow point mold. But the pin is missing. Where can I get one of these?

    Thanks for your help.

You can send Buckshot a PM, he should be able to fix you up.

I presume it is a mold drilled for a hollowpoint pin, but as happens pretty
often, the pin gets separated from the mold and when it is being sold
by the wife or kids they have no idea where it is.

Since Buckshot can make them from scratch, I'd bet he can make a replacement
    pretty well, too.

If it was easy, anybody could do it.

If you don't want to mess with that mold, I would gladly buy it from you. Send me a PM if interested. Charles

the mold I had was a pain because the pin was a clamp type [you need to hold mold tight to keep pin in] If you have buckshot do a pin send the mold and let him put a retaining screw and fix pin so it will work like the new molds

Thanks for the help. Yes, it is a gascheck mold. It is drilled for a hollow point. I don't know if it was factory or drilled by someone.

I think I will keep it at the moment.

    Thanks again.
