A roll crimp will leave greater internal volume with shot and will do a better job holding a heavy slug or ball in place against recoil, something that is important with repeaters..

I see BPI have two roll crimpers. A single pin one and a two pin one. Which is the better and do they both put a slight taper on the mouth to chamber easily? The roll crimper I have can leave a slight bulge outside the mouth that can cause hangups feeding from a box mag.
    Thanks.

Spend some time playing with your new roll crimper on old discarded trash hulls heating it up . It seems the roll crimper sorta seasons after a while ( at least it did for me ) . Until then lightly applying lube with a q-tip helps , I used what I had handy never seize but just a touch . It's near impossible to get a nice role crimp on a previously folded crimp without rerounding the mouth of the hull . But even better than trying to smooth out the old fold crimp is to simply trim the hull . I have spent unnecessary money on hull trimmers just to find out a piece on metal tubing that snuggly fits over the hull cut to appropriate length - cut with a razor knife works better for me .
Keep at it you'll get them looking good .

I’m in the midst of a new project and I might try roll crimping on this new thing . Might try it on some of my 10 gauge stuff as well .
