    Lachmiller 358 2-Cavity mold handles?

    Hello all,
I recently recieved a Lachmiller 2 cavity iron mold and I am wondering what available mold handles will fit the mold?

I was told Lachmiller was bought out by RCBS. Is this true?

Rcbs did buy out Lachmiller, made only the 2cav mold.
Most Lachmiller molds take thinner mold handle "fingers".
You can try RCBS handles, if they don't fit, you can:

    1) take a file, vise and calipers and start filing and measuring and hope they come out straight enough.
    2) PM me and I have a spare set of Lee handles that my Machinest buddy made for me before he passed away.
He made 3, I only need two.

I would never ever grind a mold. Handles are cheap alter a set of handles.

Lyman “backwards” handles (for there 4 cav) are much thinner have you tried those?

The prongs on Lachmiller handles are about .25" thick.

    Lachmiller handles?

A local sporting goods store discontinued their gun dept. in '76 & I bought several molds & stuff @ wholesale (or lower) price. Among the stuff was 3 2 cav. Lachmiller molds & some handles that I assumed were Lachmiller (no brand name).

The photos show these handles & maybe some of the experts on the forum can verify if Lachmiller. The prongs measure 1/4". I re-drilled some & use them for Lyman 4 cav. which indicates that the Lyman 4 cav. handles should work.

The handles that I bought with a Lachmiller 3 cavity mould several decades ago are identical to RCBS handles I bought many years later. The Lachmiller handles work with RCBS moulds.

Not all LACHMILLER molds will work with RCBS handles. I have 2 Lachmillers molds that don't.
