So, I've been tinkering a bit with my new Springfield XDM in 10mm. Cast up some RCBS 10mm-200-SWC bullets with #2 alloy and sized them at .401" (Felix lube). Shot 25 at the range and was very pleased with the accuracy (Chronographed 1,130 FPS). The problem was I got a fair amount of leading in the bore.
I know I have a few options: Get a wider sizer and shoot a fatter bullet. Use an even harder alloy (and/or heat treat). Try a gas check mold. Powder coat. Etc....
My initial inclination is to get a .402" sizer and go the fatter bullet route first.
What molds and alloys and you 10mm guys been successful with? Contemplating getting either a NOE 403-198-WFN or Accurate 40-200AG. (I'd like to keep the weight at around 200 gns)
