Mine is a 1909 Argentine Mauser action with a Shillen Barrel. Built in 2005.
Its a good shooter. I left the barrel long @ 27”. That extra legnth nets me some Better velocity numbers. It shoots Hornady 200g at 2900 fps with 2520 and is really linking RL15 and a 225g Accubond.

My fun load is 3031 and a 280 NOE RN boolit!

My latest is a M70 Featherweight with a Pac-Nor 1:14 on it. I have been shooting the NOE Thumper with WC852 and getting some nice groups. I also have a Rem 721 with a Douglass XX Barrel, just like Skeettx, but mine is still has the solid bottom metal.

Nice, nice, very very nice looking rifle and scope set up you have there. Makes me miss my old featherweight 30/06 that I still don’t why I traded off years ago.

WC852 and WC852f. Both have given great groups with book charges. H4831 and H380 would be comparable in burning rate to these two powders. I water dropped the bullets and lubed with 2500+.

Yes, RL15 is great powder for the Whelen. I may have some starting data for it with a 300 grn bullet. I am getting 2100 with the WC852f.

Remington 700 Classic, can't post a picture for a couple weeks, loaned it to a friend to take to Africa. Hopefully, some really neat pictures will come back with my rifle.

Savage 110, no barrel nut, Boyd's featherweight thumb-hole (not lightweight at all), Shaw barrel 1-14 twist. Shaw barrel quality has come a long way since I started using them decades ago.Click image for larger version.

This is the first load I tried with a P.C.d bullet. A Saeco mold #351 200 grain plain base.
100 yards. Later when cleaning the rifle I noticed I didn't tighten the front scope ring.

    1990 Remington 700 classic rifle

    I agree. Reloader 15 and 250gr jacketed
and Reloader 15 with LBT 280 spitzer

    very accurate

2500 fps with the jacket bullet
2375 fps with the LBT cast

Either make great elk hunting ammo.
