The Smallest you can find at Kroger is 5-6lb

    Just bought a Cuisinart TOB-200N

Rotisserie feature roasts up to a 4-pound chicken or 5-pound duck

Yes, I asked the wife is it easy to find a 4lb Chicken. She said yes LOL

    Thanks

Around here the Kroger calls a 4 lb chicken a fryer! My grandma (and me too now) wouldn't even attempt to fry a chicken over 3 lbs and preferably 2.5 lbs. In my town, those can only be had at privately owned grocery stores. A couple years ago, in was in my local grocery store and bought a 2.75 lb chicken to fry for Father's Day lunch, but they only had 1. I went to Kroger and when I couldn't find one less than 4lbs, I asked the lady in the meat counter if they had any under 3lbs and she told me "They don't make'em that small anymore"! My response was "yes they do, I have 1 on my front seat, but I need another. YOU just don't have any"! She just looked at me.

I've seen Cornish hens in the freezer section, a couple of them might work for ya.

By definition, they can't weigh more than 2 pounds.

Those birds that are labeled Cornish Hen or Cornish Game Hen.... they are just a breed of chicken and are a smaller size , usually about 2 pounds...just use them in place of the larger chicken breeds.

They seem to be a seasonal item in my area, Available for bbq season. A four pound bird doesn’t bbq evenly unless you got some tricks.

I was told by a fellow in the butcher section that the reason you don't see many 2.5-4 lb chickens in the case is that they are used for the cooked rotisserie chickens sold in the deli section of the larger chain stores. I've happened across a few smaller chickens sold in 2 packs, but rarely see one below 4 lb.

We got a 3.4 lb Chicken. It was really not that big.
When you buy a cut up chicken whole or pieces they are using the bigger chickens for frying.
