I've got four Ruger MKII pistols with red dots, one Browning Buckmark, and my Canik SFx.

I have that same exact setup on a Win 94AE 30-30. It's incredibly fast handling and accurate. I also have a FF3 on a M1 Carbine.

Use a Burris FastFire 3 on my Glock G19 Gen 5 MOS and get better scores in GSSF with it than open sight guns...

I tried one on my ruger 22/45 target. Worked good in low light and cloudy days. Bright sunny days no go lol.

I've fired two Burris FastFire equipped pistols; my cousins Ruger Mk 3 .22 and my buddies Glock 40 10mm. I could get used to them.... I was hitting a standard paper plate at 100 yards offhand with the Glock and popping mud turtles in the head with the .22. And they aren't too ungainly.

Great thread. I've been looking to buy one for my Mark IV tactical and have some good ideas after reading through all the responses. Thanks!

Have an RMR on a Glock 40 MOS. Really like it so far, just got it a couple weeks ago.

I have a Vortex Venom on the way right now. It's going to find a home on my Redhawk sitting on a Weig-A-Tinny mount.

Before Burris came out with the compact Fastfires , back in the dark ages of shooting ,
I had Millet SP-1 Red Dot sights , 1" short tube type sight , mounted on a Ruger MKII then another on a S&W Model 64 , 38 special revolver. They allowed me to shot and hit something again.
I would love to try one of the compact Fast Fire type...they sure look nice and compact as compared to the old SP-1's . If I ever buy another handgun it's going to have one on it or have a spot machined to accept one....mounting the Millet's was a chore 20 years ago .

For the guys with the sights on the lever guns, what kind of accuracy are you getting out of them?

At a measured 114 yards with my 1886 Win 45-70 (distance from my porch to the backstop). I'm not sure if I could do better with a scope. This is with a Burris FF3 3moa. It debunks the idea that you can't shoot good groups with a red dot. You just need to know how to use it. I had a pretty stiff cross wind while I was shooting both these groups and it shows in the second picture. Still not bad.

That is fine shooting by any standard. Done with a red dot it flat out amazing to me! Very nice.

I only shoot mine out to 55yds since it's a defensive carbine...

75 yard group from my Win M94AE 30-30 with Burris FF3. This is with the Lee C309-150F/35.5 LVR powder shot from a rest over the hood of my truck. It's a good load, need one click to the left next time!

Mount was in today’s mail. I must say, I like the way it looks on the Redhawk! Simple and solid installation. Sure wish Bass Pro would stop shipping by crippled donkey. The Vortex is supposed to get here on Friday - two full weeks from ordering.
