How this morning's 9:15 robo-scam call went:

Caller # I could not identify: 684-305-3108. I picked up the phone & said: "FBI Field Office. This is Jackson. How may I help you?" No response. End of call. My assumption was that robo-scam calls were not monitored but apparently I was wrong. Went into the bedroom and my wife had her hands on her knees, laughing so hard. Area code 684 is American Samoa. Big Boomer


P. S. Well, it happened again this afternoon at about 2:15 p. m. Same as above spoken and again, no response, end of call. Apparently no one wants to talk to anyone from the "FBI Field Office."

My 20-something niece answers those calls in a 'little girl' voice, and will tell the caller 'Mom is in the bedroom with Daddy, making me a baby brother', or announcing that if 'I am good, I get big-girl panties with hearts on them. Do YOU!? have panties with hearts on them???'

The last few I got I answered I let them make the spill about lowering my interest rate or selling me a medical brace. I inform them this is my daughters phone then in a angry voice and ask the caller "are the *#!*$#&% pervert that keeps texting pics of your junk".

I just had one call. I told him that his mom wanted him to come pick her up. He went to totally offended immediately.

I got one this morning on my cell speaking what I would guess is Chinese. Just for the hell of it I pressed 1. Got connected to another person that spoke Chinese. I was responding in a gibberish made up language and we tried to communicate for a few minutes. He finally asked "do you speak English" and I said yes, then I said !...and hung up.
These things drive me wild.
