    BP weight

Hey guys. I have some bp i made and when i weight 80 grains by volume i weighted that on my powder scale and it was 70 grains . Does this seem in the ball park. Not sure ho much BP should weigh verses volume. Shot a bunch of it to day and i was very impressed. Pressing it in a press really makes a big difference verses pressing it by hand. A lot more recoil with the pressed powder and it seemed to work great in my flint lock. Screening my 4f through a 40 mesh and keeping the powder that stayed on a 100 mesh made a huge difference in reliability in the flash pan.

Your right in there .. how are things in Cordova??? Hope the red’s make it to the flats this year.

I used to make Willow charcoal over at the soccer park next to the hospital for my BP.. it is fun to make your own BP.. I use a different method, and however you make it, it is just cool... I had the kids at the High school making it for rockets one year..

It was a noticeable improvement corned verses hand pressed. I need to make more charcoal. A friend and I shot a lot of what i made today. He was impressed. This is fun stuff. Going fishing for Halibut sunday so no shooting till next weekend unless i can get out after work. Got some rain in the forcast this next week.

Indian Joe i have a 20 ton jack but dont want to rune my press so i will stick with what i have for now. All the material i got for the press was free. I got 70.00 dollars invested in this project with the jack and flys die and a couple other items.
